I hate Kierkegaard for this one. Seriously. You know the feeling of irritation at people who have more or less the same idea as yours but can articulate it so much better? Yeah. I hate Kierkegaard.

I like this quotation a lot – because I agree completely, which is rare – and that is partially because I found it. By this I mean I read an article that Margaret Lyons wrote, I liked what she said, and so here I am quoting her. I think it is an only child thing, wanting something to come from you and you alone.

Maybe our favorite quotations say more about us than about the stories and people we’re quoting.
